What do we do?
We are passionate about theatre and believe that the process of creating theatre and the performance itself hold equal importance. We aim to produce excellent pieces of youth theatre every term.
Autumn
In the Autumn term the whole group write and perform a review/cabaret-type show.
Spring/Summer
In the Spring or Summer Term the whole group perform a play in the theatre at Jacksons Lane. Everybody is included in the productions and there are no auditions.
Our Sessions
Highgate Youth Theatre runs between September and July in three terms and is held on Friday evenings from 5.00pm to 7.00 pm for 16-21 year olds, and Saturday mornings from 10.00 - 12.00 for 11-16 year olds.

Friday gatherings are opportunities to create and make theatre that reflects you and your experiences with a professional facilitator.
During the Saturday we develop skills and confidence through games, improvisations, physical theatre, masks, devising and writing. Our emphasis is on fun, teamwork, building confidence and the creative imagination.
Youth Cabaret Juniors and Seniors
Past productions include the National Theatre Connections entries (The Ice Palace, Brokenville and A Year and a Day), Highgate Youth Theatre original works (The Woman in White, Underground, Jason and the Argonauts, Into the Dark Woods, Small Shadows Creep), other literary adaptations such as Great Expectations, The Moon's Revenge, The Siver Sword and Alice in Wonderland, and especially commissioned work from young playwrights such as Lucinda Cardey (George's Dad.)
Fees
There are between 10-12 sessions to a term - each session is 2 hours long – and the term costs £110 (payable to Highgate Youth Theatre). There are concessions available and siblings also have a reduced rate.
